Domestic telecom gear manufacturer HFCL has announced that it has bagged an export order valued at $244 million, approximately ₹2,329 crore, for the supply of high-quality optical fibre cables to a global multinational corporation. The development was shared by the company through a regulatory filing on Tuesday.
According to the regulatory filing, the supply agreement spans three years and concludes in December 2029. The order will be executed through the company's overseas wholly-owned subsidiary. The client's identity was not disclosed in the filing.
Deliveries under the agreement are scheduled to begin from the calendar year 2027. This contract follows earlier export activity reported by the company in July, during which it secured two export orders worth ₹937 crore for the supply of optical fibre cables.
Financial performance indicators released earlier noted significant export revenue growth for the company. During the quarter ending June 2026, HFCL reported a multifold increase in export revenue, reaching ₹1,063.30 crore compared to ₹209.70 crore recorded during the corresponding period in the previous year.
"Securing a long-term international supply agreement of this scale demonstrates the growing global competitiveness of Indian telecom hardware manufacturers. Multi-year contracts providing steady revenue visibility into future years are critical for hardware and manufacturing businesses to scale operations efficiently and strengthen their international footprint." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
