NEW DELHI — The Indian telecommunications sector witnessed notable subscriber additions in July, according to recent figures. Major telecom operators Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio both reported growth in their wireless user bases during the month.
Bharti Airtel led the additions for the period, securing 26.8 lakh new mobile users. Meanwhile, Reliance Jio reported net wireless additions of 24.4 lakh users.
Subscriber additions in the wireless segment serve as a key indicator of market momentum and consumer demand within the country's telecom industry. Both operators continue to expand and maintain their network footprints to capture user growth across urban and rural markets.
