TVS Motor Company appoints Peyman Kargar as CEO effective January 2027

TVS Motor Company has announced leadership changes, naming Peyman Kargar as its next Director and Chief Executive Officer. The appointment is scheduled to take effect on January 27, 2027. Kargar, who currently serves as the company's President of International Business, will be based in Bengaluru upon stepping into the new role.

Kargar brings over three decades of global automotive industry experience across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. Prior to joining TVS in 2025, he held senior leadership positions with major automotive brands. His previous roles include Global Chairman and President of INFINITI, Chairman and Senior Vice President of the Africa Middle East India Region for the DATSUN brand, and Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the Renault Group across 50 countries in Africa, the Middle East, Iran, and India. He also served as Managing Director of Renault Middle East and Country Manager Director in Iran.

He will succeed outgoing CEO K. N. Radhakrishnan. Radhakrishnan will continue in his current role to ensure a seamless transition until January 2027, after which he will serve as a Non-Executive Director until the annual general meeting scheduled for July 2027.

The leadership transition follows a strong financial period for TVS Motor. In the 2025–26 fiscal year, the company reported selling 5.9 million vehicles globally and achieving a 30% growth in revenue. The company stated that Kargar's extensive background across the automotive value chain—including product development, research and development, manufacturing, quality, sales, and marketing—provides him with deep insight into the mobility sector.

Under Kargar's leadership as President of International Business, the company's international segment expanded to represent 29% of total sales volume, registering a 33% growth rate. In his upcoming role as CEO, he will focus on driving further business growth in domestic and global markets through product innovation, premiumisation, and expansion into developed markets.

Sudarshan Venu, Chairman of TVS Motor Company, noted that the appointment is an important step as the company prepares for the future.
