Global payments technology company Visa has announced enhancements to its cybersecurity portfolio to assist organizations in identifying and resolving digital vulnerabilities more efficiently. The updates include the latest release of the Visa Vulnerability Agentic Harness (VVAH), an open-source, model-agnostic framework aimed at reducing the time required to address attack paths.
According to Visa, the updated framework aims to lower the Mean Time to Adapt (MTTA)—the duration between the discovery and resolution of a security threat—with certain resolutions decreasing from weeks to hours. Initially launched following Visa's involvement in Anthropic's Project Glasswing, the framework now extends its workflow from initial discovery to active remediation and validation within a single structured process.
Alongside the VVAH update, Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) has introduced three new cybersecurity advisory services. These services are designed to help clients assess risk, prioritize remediation efforts, and build operational resilience. The advisory expansion builds on prior engagements, including a collaboration with CAIXA Cartões to support its cybersecurity maturity assessment and risk management initiatives.
Since its open-source release in June 2026, the VVAH framework has been downloaded by developers globally. Additionally, Visa has joined industry initiatives, contributing the framework to NVIDIA's Open Secure AI Alliance and collaborating on IBM and Red Hat's Project Lightwell initiative to help secure open-source software.
"As artificial intelligence accelerates both the speed and scale of modern cyber threats, businesses must shift their security focus from simply identifying vulnerabilities to reducing their overall adaptation and resolution time. Frameworks that integrate discovery, triage, and remediation into a single workflow provide a practical model for organizations looking to protect customer trust and maintain operational resilience in an increasingly digital economy." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
