NEW DELHI — Industrial safety footwear player Acme Universal Safezone 9 has announced its financial results for the first half of fiscal year 2027, reporting a net profit of ₹7 crore. This marks a turnaround from a net loss of ₹8 crore recorded in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.
The company registered a 16 percent rise in revenue, reaching ₹120 crore compared to ₹103 crore in the same period last year. Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization (EBITDA) saw a 55 percent increase, moving from ₹8 crore to ₹13 crore.
The announcement follows the company's debut on the BSE SME platform last month. Under regulatory requirements, the firm is mandated to announce its financial results twice a year.
During the first half of FY27, the company recorded exports worth ₹10 crore. According to the firm, this figure accounts for about two-thirds of the total export sales of ₹16 crore achieved during the entirety of financial year 2026.
Nitin Tiwari, Managing Director of Acme Universal Safezone 9, stated that the financial figures represent steady progress across operations and export channels following the company's recent public listing.
Outlining the deployment of funds raised through its Initial Public Offering (IPO), Tiwari noted that the capital would be directed toward capital expenditure, the establishment of a captive solar power plant, and funding incremental working capital requirements. A portion of the proceeds is also earmarked for sector-specific acquisitions.
“We remain focused on protecting industrial workforce with certified, high-performance safety footwear and on growing our presence in export markets,” Tiwari added.
"The turnaround reported by Acme Universal Safezone 9 highlights the potential of manufacturing startups transitioning to public markets via the BSE SME platform. Achieving profitability alongside a strong double-digit growth in revenue and EBITDA indicates sound operational execution. Furthermore, utilizing IPO proceeds for capital expansion, renewable energy integration through a captive solar plant, and strategic acquisitions demonstrates a balanced approach to long-term scalability and margin protection in the industrial safety sector." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
