Non-banking financial company (NBFC) Capri Global Capital announced on Wednesday that it has successfully completed its first-ever US dollar bond issuance, raising $300 million to support its ongoing business expansion.
The capital was mobilized through Senior Secured Notes scheduled to mature in 2029. According to the company, these notes carry a coupon rate of 7.55 percent per annum.
Rajesh Sharma, Managing Director of Capri Global Capital, stated that the strong participation from international investors reflects confidence in the company's credit strength and business model. He noted that the transaction enables the firm to diversify its borrowing sources across both domestic and global capital pools.
Sharma added that the successful execution of this bond issuance reinforces the company's focus on maintaining sustainable growth through a broader mix of funding channels.
"The successful entry of Capri Global Capital into the international debt market highlights the growing maturity of India's non-banking financial sector. Raising $300 million through US dollar-denominated senior secured notes at a 7.55 percent coupon rate demonstrates strong institutional confidence from global investors. For financial institutions, diversifying capital sources beyond domestic markets is a strategic step toward managing liquidity efficiently and supporting long-term, sustainable expansion." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
