Consumer appliances maker Atomberg Technologies has filed its draft papers for an initial public offering (IPO), according to documents released on Friday. The public issue comprises a fresh issue of shares worth up to ₹450 crore ($47.02 million) alongside an offer-for-sale (OFS) of up to 76.5 million shares from existing investors. The company did not specify the overall size of the IPO in the preliminary filings.
Several existing institutional investors are participating in the offer-for-sale portion of the listing. These include A91 Emerging Fund I LLP, V-Sciences Investments, Jungle Ventures IV, and Inflexor Opportunities Fund 1.
Atomberg manufactures a range of consumer appliances, including fans, smart locks, water purifiers, and cold-pressed juicers. In addition to direct-to-consumer appliances, the company manufactures and supplies motor and electronics components to major enterprise customers such as Voltas, Godrej, and Blue Star.
According to the draft papers, the company intends to utilize ₹340 crore from the IPO proceeds for specific corporate purposes. These funds will be directed toward repaying debt, funding brand-building initiatives, and investing in research and development activities.
The draft papers highlight financial growth for the company, noting that Atomberg's revenue from operations increased to ₹1,294 crore in fiscal 2026, compared to ₹797 crore in fiscal 2024.
In terms of distribution and market reach, the company operated through 626 distributors and direct dealers as of March 31, 2026. Its distribution footprint encompasses nearly 47,000 retail touchpoints, supported by a service network covering over 18,000 pin codes across India.
Citing data from the draft papers, the broader Indian consumer appliances market is estimated to reach $4.69 billion in fiscal 2026. The filings indicate that the market is undergoing a transition toward next-generation, energy-efficient products. This shift is being propelled by rising incomes, increasing urbanisation, and a growing consumer preference for premiumisation, which together are driving demand across categories such as fans, water purifiers, and motorised kitchen appliances.
"Atomberg's decision to file for an IPO reflects the maturation of India's consumer hardware and appliances sector. By focusing on energy-efficient products and scaling its manufacturing and component supply business, the company has built a solid operational foundation. The deployment of IPO proceeds toward debt repayment and R&D will be critical for maintaining its competitive edge in a growing market driven by premiumisation and urbanisation." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
