Consumer electronics brand boAt reported a 38 percent increase in its profit after tax to ₹84.5 crore for the financial year 2025-26, driven by profitability in its wearables business and growth in international markets. The company recorded an operating revenue of ₹2,931 crore.

Consumer electronics brand boAt, owned by Imagine Marketing Limited, has reported a 38 per cent growth in its profit after tax (PAT) at ₹84.5 crore for the financial year 2025-26. In the preceding fiscal year, the company had posted a PAT of ₹61.1 crore.

According to the company's statement, revenue from operations stood at ₹2,931 crore in FY26. A notable development during the year was the turnaround of the company's wearables business, which turned profitable by recording a profit of about ₹7 crore compared to a loss of ₹54 crore in FY25.

boAt CEO Gaurav Nayyar stated that FY26 involved strengthening foundations while navigating a challenging external environment. The company closed the year with approximately ₹397 crore of cash reserves and zero bank debt.

The company's 'other' segment, which encompasses categories such as charging solutions, cables, and gaming, saw its profit increase to ₹46 crore from ₹14 crore in the previous year. Meanwhile, international revenue more than doubled to ₹45 crore, compared to approximately ₹20 crore in FY25.

Looking ahead, Nayyar noted that the company's focus is shifting from turnaround to growth under an initiative termed 'boAt 2.0'. Plans include maintaining audio leadership while expanding into international markets and new consumer-tech categories such as projectors, grooming, and charging solutions.

"boAt's FY26 results highlight a strategic shift toward operational discipline and profitability, particularly evidenced by turning its wearables business profitable and eliminating bank debt. Maintaining strong cash reserves while scaling new categories and international markets provides a solid foundation for sustainable long-term growth in the competitive consumer electronics sector." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
