Toy manufacturer Funskool India has acquired the license to manufacture and distribute Paw Patrol merchandise and collectible toys across retail stores and online platforms.
The company obtained the license to launch collectible toys associated with the Canadian children’s television series from Toronto-based toy and entertainment firm Spin Master.
The newly announced product range includes various Paw Patrol basic vehicles and character items, featuring Chase, Marshall, Skye, Ryder, Rocky, Rubble, Rex, Everest, Tracker, and Zuma.
Commenting on the development, K A Shabir, CEO of Funskool India, said, "Our collaboration with Spin Master reflects Funskool’s continued commitment to bringing globally loved brands and characters to children and families across India."
He added, "With our strong distribution network and deep understanding of the Indian toy market, we look forward to making PAW Patrol collectibles more accessible to young fans across the country and creating opportunities for imaginative play."
"Securing distribution rights for globally recognized intellectual properties like Paw Patrol is a strategic move for established toy manufacturers operating in India. By leveraging an existing distribution network to tap into established children's entertainment franchises, companies can effectively address the growing demand for branded merchandise. This development highlights the importance of international brand partnerships in expanding market reach within the domestic retail and online toy segments." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
