Gold prices in India registered an increase across major cities on August 25. The price for both 22-carat and 24-carat gold moved upward across key urban markets, including Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, and Kolkata, compared to the previous day's rates.
In Mumbai, 22-carat gold was priced at ₹15,080 for 1 gram, marking an increase of ₹80, while 8 grams of 22-carat gold reached ₹1,20,640 after an increase of ₹640. For 24-carat gold in Mumbai, 1 gram was priced at ₹15,834 (up by ₹84) and 8 grams stood at ₹1,26,672 (up by ₹672).
In Chennai and Hyderabad, 22-carat gold was traded at ₹15,030 for 1 gram (up by ₹80) and ₹1,20,240 for 8 grams (up by ₹640). The 24-carat gold in these two cities was priced at ₹15,782 for 1 gram (up by ₹84) and ₹1,26,256 for 8 grams (up by ₹672).
Delhi markets recorded 22-carat gold at ₹15,130 for 1 gram (up by ₹80) and ₹1,21,040 for 8 grams (up by ₹640). The 24-carat gold in Delhi was priced at ₹15,887 for 1 gram (up by ₹84) and ₹1,27,096 for 8 grams (up by ₹672).
In Ahmedabad, 22-carat gold stood at ₹15,134 for 1 gram (up by ₹80) and ₹1,21,072 for 8 grams (up by ₹640). Ahmedabad's 24-carat gold was priced at ₹15,891 for 1 gram (up by ₹86) and ₹1,27,128 for 8 grams (up by ₹672).
In Bengaluru, 22-carat gold was priced at ₹15,134 for 1 gram (up by ₹74) and ₹1,21,072 for 8 grams (up by ₹592). The 24-carat gold in Bengaluru reached ₹15,891 for 1 gram (up by ₹78) and ₹1,27,128 for 8 grams (up by ₹624).
Kolkata recorded the highest rates among the listed cities, with 22-carat gold at ₹15,180 for 1 gram (up by ₹80) and ₹1,21,440 for 8 grams (up by ₹640). The 24-carat gold in Kolkata was priced at ₹15,939 for 1 gram (up by ₹84) and ₹1,27,512 for 8 grams (up by ₹672).
