Gold prices witnessed an upward trend across multiple cities in India, according to market data for September 1. Across various regional markets, both 22-carat and 24-carat gold variants registered marginal price increases compared to the previous day.
Nationwide baseline figures for 22-carat gold stood at ₹14,465 for 1 gram, marking an increase of ₹15, while 8 grams of 22-carat gold rose by ₹120 to reach ₹1,15,720.
Regional markets experienced similar upward revisions. In Coimbatore, Visakhapatnam, Madurai, Thrissur, and Vijayawada, 22-carat gold was priced at ₹14,385 for 1 gram (up by ₹15) and ₹1,15,080 for 8 grams (up by ₹120). The 24-carat gold in these cities stood at ₹15,104 for 1 gram (up by ₹15) and ₹1,20,832 for 8 grams (up by ₹120).
In Nagpur and Indore, 22-carat gold was recorded at ₹14,435 for 1 gram (up by ₹15) and ₹1,15,480 for 8 grams (up by ₹120). Meanwhile, 24-carat gold in these two centers reached ₹15,157 for 1 gram (up by ₹16) and ₹1,21,256 for 8 grams (up by ₹128).
Markets in Surat, Jaipur, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Vadodara, and Kanpur reported distinct localized rates. In Surat, Jaipur, and Vadodara, 22-carat gold traded at ₹14,489 for 1 gram (up by ₹15) and ₹1,15,912 for 8 grams (up by ₹120), with 24-carat variants priced at ₹15,213 for 1 gram (up by ₹15) and ₹1,21,704 for 8 grams (up by ₹120). In Lucknow, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, and Kanpur, 22-carat gold was priced at ₹14,485 for 1 gram (up by ₹15) and ₹1,15,880 for 8 grams (up by ₹120), while 24-carat gold stood at ₹15,209 for 1 gram (up by ₹15) and ₹1,21,672 for 8 grams (up by ₹120).
Eastern markets also reflected the price hike. In Bhubaneswar and Patna, 22-carat gold was valued at ₹14,535 for 1 gram (up by ₹15) and ₹1,16,280 for 8 grams (up by ₹120). The 24-carat gold in Bhubaneswar and Patna was priced at ₹15,262 for 1 gram (up by ₹16) and ₹1,22,096 for 8 grams (up by ₹128).
In Mysore, 22-carat gold was recorded at ₹14,495 for 1 gram (up by ₹15) and ₹1,15,960 for 8 grams (up by ₹120), whereas 24-carat gold reached ₹15,220 for 1 gram (up by ₹16) and ₹1,21,760 for 8 grams (up by ₹128).
