Linjemontage I Grästorp AB, a step-down subsidiary of Kalpataru Projects International Limited, has incorporated a new wholly owned subsidiary in India named LM Operation Center India Private Limited. The incorporation was completed following the receipt of the Certificate of Incorporation from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

Kalpataru Projects International Limited (KPIL) announced that its step-down subsidiary has established a new wholly owned company in India as part of its operational footprint expansion in the country.

According to the regulatory filing, Linjemontage I Grästorp AB (LMG AB), which operates as a first-level step-down subsidiary of KPIL, incorporated the new entity under the name LM Operation Center India Private Limited. The Certificate of Incorporation was issued by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs on September 1, 2026, following the initial incorporation filing made on August 14, 2026.

The newly formed entity has not yet commenced business operations and currently has no recorded turnover history. The company also confirmed that no special governmental or regulatory approvals were required for the incorporation process.

In market updates coinciding with the announcement, KPIL shares closed at ₹1,408.40 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Tuesday, marking a 0.54 per cent increase from the previous close of ₹1,400.90. The company's market capitalisation stands at approximately ₹24,045 crore. Market data indicates that the stock has delivered a year-to-date return of over 17 per cent, alongside a gain of more than 114 per cent over a three-year period.

"The incorporation of a new subsidiary by an established engineering firm like Kalpataru Projects highlights a strategic approach to scaling operational capabilities through dedicated corporate structures. While the newly formed entity is yet to commence operations, setting up a wholly owned structure via a step-down subsidiary allows companies to streamline specialized functions and position themselves for future growth in the domestic market without immediate regulatory hurdles." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
