High-security registration plate maker Rosmerta Technologies plans to invest ₹300 crore through FY30. The company aims to grow its revenue to ₹1,600 crore in FY27 and reach ₹3,000 crore by FY30 by expanding into automated vehicle testing, digital compliance, and vehicle scrappage.

Rosmerta Technologies, one of India’s largest manufacturers of high-security vehicle registration plates (HSRP), has announced plans to invest approximately ₹300 crore through FY30. According to Kartick Nagpal, President of Rosmerta Technologies, the investment will target manufacturing capacity, technology infrastructure, digital platforms, automation, and execution capabilities.

The company is projecting revenue of ₹1,600 crore in FY27, up from an unaudited consolidated turnover of approximately ₹1,200 crore in FY26. This follows an expansion from ₹903 crore in FY25. Rosmerta aims to nearly double its FY26 revenue size to reach ₹3,000 crore by FY30, requiring an annual growth rate of about 23 percent following the FY27 milestone.

High-security registration plates remain the company's core business, providing the operational footprint for its newer ventures. Rosmerta reports having fitted over 170 million plates, with a manufacturing capacity of 6.6 million plates per month and a reach spanning more than 28,000 automobile dealerships. Additionally, its Urja digital platform extends its presence into regional transport office (RTO) transactions and vehicle registrations across 28 States and Union Territories.

Beyond registration, Rosmerta is scaling operations in automated vehicle and driver testing. The company has announced a ₹400-crore project to set up 21 automated vehicle-testing stations in Maharashtra. It has also secured a ₹166.69-crore, five-year project to develop 10 automated driving-test tracks in the same state.

At the end of a vehicle's life cycle, Rosmerta is entering the organised vehicle scrappage sector. Its partnership with Ashok Leyland connects commercial vehicle owners with authorised scrapping facilities through the automaker's dealer network. Furthermore, the company is incorporating artificial intelligence into its operations to automate workflows, ensure compliance, and streamline service delivery.

The company's long-term growth strategy relies on leveraging its established position in vehicle registration to build a broader ecosystem spanning testing, digital compliance, and scrappage.

"Rosmerta Technologies' strategic expansion beyond high-security registration plates into automated testing and vehicle scrappage demonstrates a sound approach to building a comprehensive lifecycle business model in the automotive sector. By scaling its infrastructure and integrating digital platforms across regulatory touchpoints, the company is positioning itself well to capture long-term, compliance-driven demand in the Indian market." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
