Water Technology Firm WAE Joins United Nations Global Compact Network India

New Delhi-based sustainability-led water technology and engineering company WAE Limited has announced its association with the United Nations Global Compact Network India (UNGCNI). The development integrates the company's ongoing water infrastructure operations with the Indian local network of the United Nations Global Compact.

Through this membership, WAE has committed to advancing the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact. These principles cover human rights, labour, environment, and anti-corruption, and will be progressively embedded across the company's strategy, operations, technology development, and stakeholder ecosystem.

WAE operates across commercial, institutional, hospitality, and industrial environments. Its technology portfolio includes advanced purification, circular water systems, decentralised drinking-water generation, sustainable glass bottling, atmospheric water generation, intelligent dispensing, IoT-enabled monitoring, and data-led water management. The solutions are designed to minimise dependence on single-use packaged water, reduce transportation-linked emissions, and optimise resource consumption.

A Vikram Joshe, Managing Director of WAE, stated that the partnership connects the company's technology, governance, and environmental ambitions with a global framework focused on regenerating natural capital alongside economic value creation.

Ratnesh, Executive Director of UNGCNI, noted that water resilience is central to sustainable and inclusive growth, requiring businesses to integrate responsible resource management into their core strategies. The network aims to preserve freshwater resources through collective action in water-stressed basins.

As a participant in the UN Global Compact ecosystem, WAE will strengthen measurement, disclosure, and accountability regarding its sustainability progress through the applicable Communication on Progress (CoP) framework.

The alignment supports WAE's contribution to several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, specifically SDG 6 for clean water and sanitation, SDG 9 for industry, innovation and infrastructure, SDG 12 for responsible consumption and production, SDG 13 for climate action, and SDG 17 for partnerships for the goals.
