Zinc futures for the November contract have risen to ₹424 over the past week, rebounding from a support level of ₹393. Analysts are monitoring the immediate resistance barrier at ₹424, which could determine the trajectory for subsequent price movements.

Zinc futures have shown an upward movement over the past week, currently trading at ₹419 per kilogram. The November contract recently bounced off a support level at ₹393, bringing attention to an upcoming resistance barrier at ₹424 that could potentially cap further near-term gains.

According to market tracking, if the November zinc contract successfully breaks out of the barrier at ₹424, it could rally toward ₹435, which represents another notable resistance level. A successful breakout past this point could provide additional momentum to bullish trends, potentially lifting the price further toward ₹450.

Conversely, if the contract fails to clear the resistance at ₹424 and experiences a pullback, prices could decline toward ₹402. At this lower level, the 21-day and 50-day moving averages coincide, providing a cushion. A subsequent support level is marked further down at ₹393.

In the event that the contract breaches the support level at ₹393, the near-term outlook could shift to a bearish phase. Under such conditions, prices could face a deeper correction, falling initially to ₹385 and subsequently toward ₹372.

Despite these near-term technical hurdles, the broader trend remains bullish, with the recent bounce indicating a fresh build-up in market momentum. However, market participants note that zinc futures will need to surpass the immediate resistance at ₹424 to initiate another leg of the rally. Trading strategies suggest monitoring a breakout above ₹424 for potential long positions, accompanied by a stop-loss at ₹419 and a profit-booking target near ₹435.

"Commodity price fluctuations, such as the recent movement in zinc futures, highlight the importance of disciplined risk management for businesses that rely on raw materials. Monitoring technical resistance levels like ₹424 helps businesses and traders anticipate cost variations and plan their working capital more effectively in a volatile market." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
