Aditya Birla Health Insurance Co. Ltd. has announced a strategic tie-up with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India to provide customized health insurance coverage to over 12.32 lakh CA students, 4.67 lakh CA members, and professionals at CA firms. The partnership maps four distinct products tailored to different age groups and health profiles within the ICAI ecosystem.

Aditya Birla Health Insurance Co. Ltd. (ABHICL) announced on Tuesday a partnership with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) to offer tailored health insurance plans to over 12.32 lakh CA students and 4.67 lakh CA members. The tie-up also extends coverage to professionals working with CA firms.

As part of the collaboration, the company has mapped four specific products designed for different customer profiles within the ICAI ecosystem. Individuals under the age of 35 are directed toward Activ Yuva, which is a wellness-focused plan. For members above the age of 35 without chronic conditions, the insurer recommends Activ One Max Unlimited Care with a Durable Equipment Rider. Members with pre-existing illnesses can opt for Activ One VYTL, a plan that covers seven chronic conditions from day one and includes an outpatient department (OPD) based chronic management programme. Additionally, members porting from another insurer are offered either of the latter two plans based on their individual health profiles.

Policyholders will gain access to ABHICL's Health Management Programme. Under this initiative, participants can earn Active Dayz by meeting daily fitness targets, such as walking 10,000 steps. Members who accumulate 325 Active Dayz in a policy year while maintaining a healthy heart score can recover up to 100 per cent of their annual premium as HealthReturns.

The partnership introduces several key product features. These include Super Credit on the Activ Yuva plan, which increases the sum insured at each renewal regardless of claims, and Super Reload on the Activ One Max plan, which reinstates the base sum insured even if it has been fully utilized during the policy year. Furthermore, all eligible plans include Claim Protect, a feature covering non-medical expenses incurred during hospitalization.

ABHICL CEO Mayank Bathwal stated that the partnership aims to make healthcare protection more accessible to India's professional community while simultaneously promoting preventive health behavior among members.

Aditya Birla Health Insurance Co. Ltd. operates as a joint venture between Aditya Birla Capital and South Africa's Momentum Group. The firm currently provides health insurance coverage to over 25 million lives spread across more than 5,000 cities.

"This partnership represents a structured approach to addressing the insurance and wellness needs of a massive professional community in India. By segmenting coverage based on age, chronic conditions, and fitness-linked premium returns, Aditya Birla Health Insurance is effectively embedding preventive healthcare into a large-scale institutional tie-up. For professional networks and enterprise ecosystems, collaborating with specialized insurance providers offers a scalable model to extend financial security and health benefits to members." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
