The healthcare major also announced leadership changes and plans to list its combined digital and pharmacy entity by Q4FY27.

Chennai — Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd (AHEL) reported a 32 per cent year-on-year growth in consolidated net profit at ₹630 crore for the quarter ended September 2026 (Q2FY27). Revenue for the quarter rose 23 per cent year-on-year to ₹7,615 crore.

For the first half of the fiscal year (H1FY27), the company's consolidated net profit increased 33 per cent year-on-year to ₹1,211 crore, backed by a 22 per cent growth in revenue to ₹14,547 crore.

The Chennai-headquartered healthcare provider attributed the revenue increase to higher patient volume and improved hospital occupancy, which stood at 73 per cent in Q2FY27 compared with 69 per cent in Q2FY26.

Group CFO Krishnan Akhileshwaran stated that the financial performance was supported by a 14 per cent volume growth, pricing levers, and case mix. Specialties such as cardiology and orthopedics experienced faster growth rates. Consolidated revenue from the Healthcare Services division climbed 23 per cent to ₹3,900 crore.

International patient services revenue registered a 37 per cent year-on-year growth during the quarter, driven by a recovery in patient inflow from Bangladesh, traction in Africa, and increased visits from Europe and developed nations.

Apollo HealthCo's online segment has broken even, and the newly combined entity integrating digital and pharmacy operations remains on schedule to list by the fourth quarter of fiscal 2027. Meanwhile, the Apollo Health and Lifestyle segment recorded gross revenue of ₹429 crore, marking a 20 per cent year-on-year increase.

In leadership updates, Dr. Madhu Sasidhar, President and CEO of the Hospitals Division, is stepping down on November 14 upon completing his tenure. Dr. Ritu Garg has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer for Multi Regions covering the North, Central, Western, and Eastern zones, alongside the appointment of a new Chief Business Officer, International and Chief Procurement Officer.

Addressing government scrutiny regarding pricing, Akhileshwaran noted that the Indian healthcare sector offers services at a fraction of global costs. He stated that the average revenue per patient stands at approximately ₹1.8 lakh with margins ranging between 10 and 15 per cent.

AHEL confirmed that its expansion strategy is proceeding as planned, with an addition of approximately 5,800 beds anticipated over the next five years. Following the announcement, shares of AHEL closed 1.89 per cent higher at ₹8,599.50 on the National Stock Exchange.

"Apollo Hospitals' latest financial results demonstrate steady operational efficiency and robust demand across key medical specialties. Achieving a 32 percent growth in net profit alongside rising occupancy rates reflects strong fundamentals in the healthcare sector.
