Air compressor manufacturer Elgi Equipments reported a consolidated net profit of ₹128 crore for the quarter ended September 2026, marking a 6% year-on-year growth. Consolidated revenue for the period rose by 17% to ₹1,134 crore, driven by growth in the Indian and American markets despite rising material costs and restructuring expenses.

Air compressor manufacturer Elgi Equipments has announced its financial results for the quarter ended September 2026 (Q2 FY27), reporting a consolidated net profit of ₹128 crore. This represents a 6 percent year-on-year growth compared to the ₹121 crore recorded in the same period of the previous fiscal year.

During the quarter, the company's consolidated revenue from operations grew by 17 percent to stand at ₹1,134 crore, up from ₹968 crore in Q2 FY26. Consolidated sales for the quarter matched the revenue figure at ₹1,134 crore.

However, overall profitability during the quarter was impacted by an increase in the cost of materials consumed. The bottom line was also affected by a one-time exceptional charge of ₹3.7 crore, which was directed toward restructuring costs arising from organizational realignment.

On a standalone basis, Elgi Equipments posted a Profit After Tax (PAT) of ₹129 crore for the quarter, compared to ₹91 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year. Standalone revenue from operations for Q2 FY27 was recorded at ₹708 crore, compared to ₹568 crore previously.

Commenting on regional performance, the company noted in a statement that growth momentum continued across the Indian and American markets. Conversely, business performance in Europe and Australia remained subdued amidst prevailing economic headwinds.

Looking ahead, Elgi Equipments outlined its outlook for the third quarter of fiscal year 2027. The company stated that notwithstanding ongoing geopolitical tensions and rising cost pressures, it maintains a positive outlook for Q3 and remains on track to achieve its budgeted performance targets.

"Elgi Equipments' Q2 results demonstrate healthy top-line growth of 17 percent, showing strong demand in key regions like India and the Americas despite broader macroeconomic challenges. While material costs and one-time restructuring expenses have exerted some pressure on the bottom line, the company's ability to maintain a positive outlook for the upcoming quarter reflects sound operational resilience. Managing supply-side cost pressures effectively will be critical as they navigate subdued conditions in Europe and Australia." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
