Wenzhou-headquartered renewable energy firm Fox ESS has been ranked No. 1 in the H1 2026 Global Residential ESS Shipment Ranking by InfoLink Consulting. The ranking is based on InfoLink's global energy storage supply chain database.
Data compiled by InfoLink shows that global residential storage shipments grew rapidly in the first half of 2026, reaching 39.07 GWh. This figure represents a 137.67% increase compared to the same period in the previous year, driven by rising competition among leading industry players. Fox ESS led the top five global residential storage suppliers for the period.
This latest ranking adds to a series of industry recognitions for the company. Frost & Sullivan reported that the global residential energy storage market reached 38.1 GWh in 2025, growing at an annual rate of 54.6% between 2021 and 2025, with Fox ESS capturing a leading 10.5% market share. This followed a No. 1 market ranking from S&P Global Energy in 2025.
Market analysts at InfoLink expect continued competition in key regions like Australia, while the recovery pace of the European market remains a critical variable for the sector. Driven by sustained demand across established and emerging regions, InfoLink has revised its full-year 2026 global energy storage shipment forecast upward to 662 GWh.
In Australia, where home battery installations have surpassed 500,000 units, Fox ESS recorded residential storage installations totaling 3.1 GWh between January and July 2026. Founder and chairman Michael Zhu attended a commemorative ceremony alongside Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Minister for Climate Change and Energy Chris Bowen.
In Europe, the company's hardware has also undergone independent evaluation. The 2026 'Energy Storage Inspection' report by HTW Berlin and AQUU Research awarded the Fox ESS system—incorporating the PQ-H3-Ultra-10.0 inverter and the EQ3300-5 battery—a System Performance Index of 97%, the highest score among reviewed systems, alongside an Efficiency Class A ranking.
Fox ESS stated that its focus remains on delivering reliable, straightforward storage systems that assist households in managing energy costs as the company continues to navigate developments across its primary international markets.
"The rapid growth of the global residential energy storage market, highlighted by a 137.67% year-over-year increase in shipments for H1 2026, demonstrates the accelerating commercial adoption of renewable technologies worldwide. Fox ESS maintaining a leading market position across independent evaluations from InfoLink, Frost & Sullivan, and S&P Global underscores the importance of robust product performance, regulatory alignment in core markets like Australia and Europe, and strong local execution in scaling hardware-intensive clean energy businesses." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
