HashKey Holdings Limited has released its unaudited consolidated interim financial results for the six months ended June 30, 2026. Despite a cyclical consolidation phase and contraction in total crypto-asset market capitalization globally, the company reported resilient performance driven by its onshore compliance strategy.

During the reporting period, HashKey's total revenue reached HK$342.5 million, marking a 20.6% increase compared to the same period last year. Gross profit rose by 12.5% to HK$207.5 million, with the gross profit margin improving sequentially to 60.6% from the second half of 2025. Through optimized operational efficiency, the company's non-IFRS adjusted loss narrowed by 21.0% to HK$314.8 million, down from HK$398.3 million in the previous year.

The company's core growth engine, transaction facilitation services, recorded revenue of HK$267.9 million, up 38.6% year-on-year. Total platform trading volume grew 31.8% to HK$282.2 billion. Institutional customer trading volume saw significant growth, surging 58.8% year-on-year to HK$231.5 billion, which accounted for 82.0% of the total platform volume.

HashKey's on-chain and asset management segments also reported progress. The total value locked (TVL) of on-chain real-world assets (RWA) reached HK$2,678.5 million, representing a 167.8% increase. The firm delivered Hong Kong's first real estate RWA project and its first regulated silver RWA token during the period. Meanwhile, assets under management (AUM) stood at HK$5,941.2 million, generating segment revenue of HK$38.84 million through wealth management products like Stablecoin and Bitcoin offerings, alongside the industry's first Bitcoin Hashrate Fund.

On the global expansion and investment front, a wholly-owned subsidiary of HashKey entered a framework agreement in July 2026 to acquire the entire equity interest in Singapore's Asia Pacific Exchange (APEX), which holds Approved Exchange and Approved Clearing House licences. Additionally, HashKey Capital invested in Vietnam Prosperity Crypto Assets Exchange (CAEX) in April 2026 and led a Series B+ funding round for SignalPlus with a US$40.0 million investment in May 2026.

Dr. Xiao Feng, Chairman of the Board and CEO of HashKey, stated that the company aims to evolve from a digital asset trading platform into a digital asset financial marketplace, expanding its Asian market network and building next-generation digital financial infrastructure connecting asset pools and capital pools.

"HashKey's latest interim results demonstrate that a disciplined focus on regulatory compliance and operational efficiency can yield resilient growth, even during broader market contractions. By scaling institutional trading volumes and expanding into regulated international markets like Singapore and Vietnam, the company is successfully positioning itself as a core player in digital asset financial infrastructure. Startups operating in heavily regulated sectors can learn valuable lessons from this strategic approach to balancing risk management with commercial expansion." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
