Chennai — Tamilnadu Petroproducts Limited (TPL) has announced its financial results for the quarter ended September 2026 (Q2 FY27), reporting a consolidated net profit of ₹65 crore. This figure marks an almost twofold increase compared to the ₹34 crore profit recorded during the corresponding period in the previous fiscal year.
Alongside the growth in profitability, the company's consolidated revenue from operations more than doubled to reach ₹934 crore during the quarter. TPL attributed this performance to stable market demand and efficient cost management practices.
For the first half of the fiscal year (H1 FY27), the company's net profit surged to ₹145 crore, compared to ₹69 crore reported in H1 FY26.
Commenting on the results, Ashwin Muthiah, Vice-Chairman of TPL and Founder Chairman of AM International, Singapore, stated that the company delivered a notable performance with both revenue and profitability recording more than twofold growth. He noted that the results reflect TPL's ability to navigate a challenging macroeconomic environment through continuous operational improvement, cost discipline, and a focus on meeting customer requirements. He added that the company's long-term growth strategy will remain centered on sustainable products and carbon-neutral manufacturing.
Incorporated in 1984, TPL operates as a manufacturer of industrial intermediate chemicals, including Linear Alkyl Benzene (LAB), Caustic Soda, and Propylene Oxide, while also selling chlorine as a co-product of Caustic Soda.
In administrative developments, the Board of TPL has approved the reappointment of D Senthi Kumar as Managing Director for a three-year term commencing February 18, 2027, subject to the approval of members.
