Backed by Peak XV Partners and Accel India, manufacturing firm Zetwerk made its stock market debut on Friday, listing at a 5.5 percent premium. The company's valuation stood at 251.7 billion rupees following its $518 million public issue.

Zetwerk Manufacturing Businesses made its stock market debut on Friday, listing at a 5.5 per cent premium over its issue price of 151 rupees. The company is backed by institutional investors including Peak XV Partners and Accel India.

By 10:30 a.m. IST, the company's shares were trading at 147.4 rupees, bringing the total valuation of the firm to 251.7 billion rupees, or approximately $2.65 billion. The listing follows a $518 million public offering by the industrial and consumer goods manufacturer.

Ahead of the public issue, Zetwerk secured ₹2,251 crore from anchor investors, a group that included Capital Group, BlackRock, and Goldman Sachs.

For the April-June quarter, Zetwerk reported operational revenue of ₹4,118 crore alongside a loss of ₹64.129 crore. Market analysts have pointed to the company's financial standing and operational model as points of discussion. In a note released last week, analysts at SMC Global Securities noted that while Zetwerk benefits from a hybrid platform, multi-industry resilience, and a large order book, the firm remains loss-making and dependent on third-party suppliers.

Zetwerk manufactures a range of industrial and consumer goods. Its client roster includes Siemens Gamesa, Acer India, NTPC Renewable Energy, and the Indian Air Force.

The debut takes place during an active period for the Indian primary market. According to LSEG data, 246 firms have raised $13.54 billion in the market so far in 2026. Simultaneously, bidding is underway for a public offering from Jio Platforms, backed by Mukesh Ambani.

"Zetwerk's stock market debut highlights the complex dynamics currently facing large manufacturing startups in India. While the company has successfully attracted major institutional anchor investors like BlackRock and Goldman Sachs, and maintains a diverse client base ranging from the Indian Air Force to multinational corporations, the market continues to scrutinize the path to profitability and reliance on third-party supply chains. As primary market activity remains robust with billions raised in 2026, scaling businesses must balance heavy capital requirements and order book growth with a clear trajectory toward sustainable financial returns." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
