Eternal, the parent entity housing Zomato, Blinkit, and District, has reported a consolidated net profit of ₹125 crore for the September quarter. This represents a 92.3 per cent increase compared to the ₹65 crore posted in the corresponding period a year ago, driven by strong revenue performance.
Consolidated revenue from operations for the quarter stood at ₹24,138 crore, marking a 77.6 per cent year-on-year increase. At a consolidated level, business-to-consumer (B2C) net order value (NOV) grew 54 per cent year-on-year to ₹35,644 crore.
Segment-wise, the food-delivery business under Zomato registered an NOV growth of 21.5 per cent to reach ₹11,445 crore, marking the fifth consecutive quarter of accelerated growth for the platform. Deepinder Goyal, Founder of Eternal, noted in a letter to shareholders that the long-term expectation for food delivery growth remains over 20 per cent annually. Goyal added that while some ordering occasions temporarily shifted to quick commerce last year, that transition has now settled, with recent growth coming from a broader customer base ordering more frequently.
Meanwhile, the quick-commerce arm, Blinkit, posted an NOV growth of 79.3 per cent to reach ₹20,940 crore. Albinder Singh Dhindsa, Group CEO of Eternal, stated that the company remains focused on acquiring and retaining profitable customers who order across multiple categories. Blinkit has outlined aggressive expansion targets, aiming to cross 3,500 dark stores by March 2027 and reach 5,000 stores by March 2028, with a particular focus on building markets in smaller cities. Akshant Goyal, CFO of Eternal, noted that existing cash reserves and profits from both food delivery and quick commerce will comfortably fund this expansion while adjusted EBITDA margins continue to improve.
In addition, District, the going-out business, reported a 58 per cent growth in NOV, reaching ₹3,259 crore.
Separately, Eternal announced in a BSE filing that its board has approved the sale of its entire stake in digital advertising platform Adonmo to Vivish Technologies, the operator of the Mygate residential community management platform. Under the transaction, Eternal will exchange 11,214 Series B compulsorily convertible preference shares and 10 equity shares in Adonmo for 1,84,091 Series C1 compulsorily convertible preference shares and 164 equity shares in Mygate. Following the transaction, Eternal will hold an approximately 4.4 per cent equity stake on a fully diluted basis in the merged Mygate entity, valued at ₹156 crore.
"Eternal's strong second-quarter performance demonstrates the operational synergy and scaling capacity of multi-vertical consumer tech platforms in India. By balancing steady growth in food delivery with aggressive dark-store expansion in quick commerce, the company is effectively capturing evolving consumer habits. Furthermore, strategic portfolio adjustments, such as the Adonmo-Mygate transaction, reflect a disciplined approach to capital allocation and asset consolidation in the broader business ecosystem." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
