Frontline workforce management startup Hunar.AI has raised ₹3 crore in funding from haf.vc. The capital will be used to scale AI infrastructure, product development, sales, and market expansion.

NEW DELHI — Conversational artificial intelligence startup Hunar.AI has raised ₹3 crore in funding from haf.vc, a venture capital fund built on the legacy of Hyderabad Angels.

Founded in 2022 by Krishna Khandelwal and Shantanu Bhattacharyya, Hunar.AI develops AI agents designed to hire, induct, train, and engage frontline workers across multiple languages through voice and WhatsApp interfaces.

According to the company, the newly raised capital will be deployed toward strengthening AI infrastructure, accelerating product development, and driving sales and market expansion. The startup primarily targets businesses that recruit and manage large workforces distributed across different locations and languages.

Kalyan Sivalenka, Managing Partner at haf.vc, noted that India's frontline workforce is substantial, multilingual, and largely underserved by existing technology solutions. He stated that the founders leveraged their background in workforce services to build AI tailored to the languages and workflows of the users they serve. The investment was made alongside Blume Ventures and a syndicate of investors.

Krishna Khandelwal, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Hunar.AI, stated that the investment will help strengthen the company’s market reach as it expands its multilingual conversational AI offerings to more enterprises in Telangana.

"The investment in Hunar.AI highlights the growing investor interest in AI-driven solutions tailored for India's massive frontline workforce. By utilizing voice and WhatsApp across multiple languages, the company is addressing a critical operational gap in workforce management. As regional enterprises increasingly adopt digital tools, scalable language-based AI platforms have significant potential to streamline hiring and training processes." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
