New Delhi-based Apollo Hospitals has introduced a seven-day service model extending routine outpatient consultations, diagnostics, and preventive health checks to Sundays. The initiative builds upon the institution's existing 24x7 emergency and critical care framework.

NEW DELHI — Apollo Hospitals has announced the launch of 'Always Open. Always Here.', a healthcare initiative designed to make routine and planned medical services accessible across all seven days of the week, including Sundays.

While the hospital group's emergency, critical care, and inpatient services have historically operated on a 24x7 basis, the new framework broadens Sunday access. Patients can now utilize outpatient consultations, diagnostic services, preventive health checks, follow-up appointments, and scheduled procedures without waiting for a weekday.

The launch references data from Apollo's Health of the Nation 2026 Report, which highlights an increasing burden of lifestyle-related conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, obesity, and metabolic disorders affecting individuals during their primary working years. As part of this preventive focus, the group offers the Zen Health Program, structured to provide advanced assessments intended to identify early signs of health issues before symptoms manifest.

Dr. Prathap C. Reddy, Founder and Chairman of the Apollo Hospitals Group, commented on the rollout, stating that the initiative extends the organization's existing emergency commitment to routine and preventive care. He noted that the step aims to facilitate timely consultations for patients and families across India.

Established in 1983, Apollo Hospitals has a history of introducing specialized medical infrastructure in the region, including cardiac surgeries, South Asia's first Proton Cancer Centre, and solid-organ transplant programs. The group's preventive care initiatives include the Master Health Check, which has reportedly reached over 30 million individuals, alongside Apollo Prohealth, an artificial intelligence-powered risk prediction tool designed to assist individuals in identifying health risks.

The healthcare provider currently receives patients from over 150 countries across its network.

"The transition toward a seven-day operational model in mainstream healthcare marks a significant shift in patient accessibility and service delivery. By extending routine consultations and diagnostics to weekends, healthcare providers are directly addressing the time constraints faced by modern working professionals. From a business perspective, maximizing asset utilization and aligning service availability with consumer lifestyle patterns can improve operational efficiency while encouraging earlier medical interventions for lifestyle-related conditions." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
