Gold prices held steady across various cities in India on August 26. Rates for both 22-carat and 24-carat gold remained unchanged across major regional markets.

Gold prices across multiple cities in India remained unchanged on August 26. Nationally, the benchmark price for 22-carat gold stood at ₹15,090 for 1 gram and ₹1,20,720 for 8 grams, holding steady from previous rates.

Regional markets reported consistent pricing across both 22-carat and 24-carat categories. In Coimbatore, Visakhapatnam, Madurai, Thrissur, and Vijayawada, 22-carat gold was priced at ₹15,010 for 1 gram and ₹1,20,080 for 8 grams. The 24-carat gold in these same cities was recorded at ₹15,761 for 1 gram and ₹1,26,088 for 8 grams.

Nagpur and Indore recorded identical rates, with 22-carat gold at ₹15,060 for 1 gram and ₹1,20,480 for 8 grams. The 24-carat gold in Nagpur and Indore stood at ₹15,813 for 1 gram and ₹1,26,504 for 8 grams.

In Surat, Jaipur, Vadodara, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Kanpur, and Ludhiana, pricing showed regional consistency within specific clusters. Surat, Jaipur, and Vadodara reported 22-carat gold at ₹15,114 for 1 gram and ₹1,20,912 for 8 grams, while 24-carat gold was priced at ₹15,870 for 1 gram and ₹1,26,960 for 8 grams. Meanwhile, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Kanpur, and Ludhiana recorded 22-carat gold at ₹15,110 for 1 gram and ₹1,20,880 for 8 grams, with 24-carat gold priced at ₹15,866 for 1 gram and ₹1,26,928 for 8 grams.

Higher rates were observed in Bhubaneswar and Patna, where 22-carat gold stood at ₹15,160 for 1 gram and ₹1,21,280 for 8 grams. The 24-carat gold in these two cities was priced at ₹15,918 for 1 gram and ₹1,27,344 for 8 grams. Finally, Mysore recorded 22-carat gold at ₹15,120 for 1 gram and ₹1,20,960 for 8 grams, while 24-carat gold was priced at ₹15,876 for 1 gram and ₹1,27,008 for 8 grams.

All reported prices across these locations reflect no change from the prior rates for both 1-gram and 8-gram quantities.
