MUMBAI — HDFC Bank announced on Saturday that its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Sashidhar Jagdishan, has decided against seeking a third term in office.
According to the bank's disclosure, Jagdishan will not pursue reappointment when his current tenure ends in October.
HDFC Bank stands as India's largest private sector lender. The announcement regarding the leadership transition marks a significant upcoming development for the banking institution as it prepares for the conclusion of Jagdishan's leadership cycle.
Further details regarding succession planning or interim leadership arrangements are expected to be announced by the bank in due course as the end of October approaches.
