Hyundai Motor India Ltd has announced a partnership with Jio-bp to integrate their EV charging networks, allowing Hyundai customers to access Jio-bp pulse charging stations directly through the myHyundai app. The collaboration aims to improve charging accessibility and expand the EV infrastructure footprint across India.

Hyundai Motor India Ltd announced on Tuesday that it has entered into a partnership with Jio-bp to integrate their respective electric vehicle charging networks. The collaboration aims to enhance charging accessibility and convenience for EV users across India.

Jio-bp operates as the brand name for Reliance BP Mobility Ltd, which is a joint venture between Reliance Industries and bp. The company provides EV charging services and solutions across the country.

Through this partnership, Hyundai EV customers will be able to discover, access, and use Jio-bp pulse charging stations directly via the myHyundai app, which serves as Hyundai Motor India's integrated EV charging platform. Additionally, HMIL's high-capacity chargers will gradually be integrated into the Jio-bp pulse charge pro app.

With the integration of the Jio-bp pulse network, HMIL's EV charging ecosystem now provides access to over 37,000 charging points across India. Jio-bp contributes over 7,000 active charging points spread across more than 300 cities, with many located along major national highways to support long-distance travel. The network's infrastructure includes high-capacity DC fast chargers ranging from 60 kW to 480 kW.

Hyun Sup Lee, Executive Director and Function Head of Corporate Planning at HMIL, stated that the partnership represents a step toward strengthening the EV ecosystem in India. He noted that the integration simplifies the charging journey and allows Hyundai owners to access reliable charging solutions through the myHyundai app. He added that both companies will explore opportunities to introduce customer-centric offers in the future.

Sarthak Behuria, Chairman of Jio-bp, highlighted that India's shift to electric mobility depends on building trust at scale. He stated that combining the nationwide network and high-performance charging infrastructure with Hyundai is intended to make clean mobility accessible, dependable, and future-ready.

Akshay Wadhwa, CEO of Jio-bp, noted that range anxiety for EV owners is often related to whether a charger is operational. He pointed out that Jio-bp pulse focuses on high-uptime charging stations and fast-charging technology to deliver a reliable experience.

"Strategic partnerships between automotive manufacturers and energy providers are essential for building a robust electric vehicle ecosystem in India. By integrating charging networks and applications, companies can effectively address range anxiety and improve overall infrastructure accessibility for consumers. Collaborations like the one between Hyundai and Jio-bp demonstrate how cross-industry alliances can drive convenience and scale up clean mobility adoption." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
