Indo National Ltd, the company known for making Nippo batteries, has officially entered the air purifier segment with the launch of a new brand, Nippo Airvue. The company has set a target of generating ₹100 crore in revenue from this new venture by the financial year 2030.
According to a company statement, the projected revenue from Airvue is expected to account for approximately 10 per cent of Indo National's overall revenue. In addition to the revenue milestone, the firm aims to capture a 15 per cent market share in the air purification and indoor air intelligence space over the next five years.
Commenting on the launch, Aditya Reddy, Joint Managing Director of Indo National Ltd, stated that the entry into air purification aligns with a broader corporate strategy. The goal is to identify emerging consumer needs and build relevant, technology-led product categories.
Reddy added that the company plans to leverage the existing brand credibility of Nippo along with its nationwide distribution ecosystem. This infrastructure will be utilized to scale the new category and expand into a broader portfolio comprising home technology and consumer solutions.
The newly introduced Airvue product range has been developed and manufactured by Medcuore Medical Solutions Pvt Ltd. The lineup includes four smart air purifier variants alongside dedicated air quality monitors.
Regarding distribution channels, Indo National confirmed that the products will be retailed through Nippo's established dealer network. Additionally, the range will be made available directly to consumers via the company's official website as well as various e-commerce platforms.
"Indo National's expansion into the air purification sector is a practical example of leveraging an established brand name and distribution network to enter high-growth categories. By utilizing an existing nationwide dealer footprint alongside digital channels, legacy brands can effectively scale new technology-led products. The target of reaching ₹100 crore by FY30 reflects a measured, long-term approach to diversifying revenue streams and meeting evolving consumer demands for indoor air quality solutions." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
