ITC Hotels Ltd reported a 52.03 per cent rise in its consolidated net profit, reaching ₹202.65 crore for the quarter ended September. In the corresponding July-September period of the previous financial year, the hospitality sector player had posted a net profit of ₹133.29 crore.
According to regulatory filings, the company's revenue from operations grew to ₹1,054.14 crore during the quarter under review, compared to ₹839.48 crore a year ago. Alongside the revenue increase, the company's total expenses also rose to ₹831.33 crore, up from ₹699.72 crore in the same period last year.
The financial growth was supported by robust revenue performance across the hotels and branded residences segments. As part of its broader operational strategy, the company stated that it is aligned with its 'Asset-Right' growth model. Under this strategy, ITC Hotels completed the acquisition of the 130-key Welcomhotel Ahmedabad, which began operating as an owned hotel starting September 1, 2026. Additionally, the company renovated over 200 keys during the first half of the financial year (H1 FY27) across owned properties located in Kolkata, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Delhi.
ITC Hotels also disclosed real estate and pipeline developments. The Lucknow Development Authority allotted a 2.8-acre land parcel to the company, earmarked for the development of a luxury hotel with over 200 keys. During H1 FY27, the Group signed 20 new hotels comprising more than 1,600 keys, expanding its managed pipeline to 84 hotels with nearly 8,200 keys.
On the international front, the board of ITC Hotels approved the incorporation of a wholly-owned subsidiary in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, pending necessary regulatory approvals. The proposed entity will focus on operating hotels and restaurants, along with other related business activities.
"ITC Hotels' performance highlights the steady recovery and strong demand within the hospitality sector. By combining an asset-right growth strategy with targeted property acquisitions, room renovations, and pipeline expansions, the company is effectively scaling its footprint both domestically and internationally. Entering new markets and establishing a subsidiary in Dubai reflects a calculated approach to long-term business expansion and operational diversification." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
