Engineering firm Jyoti Structures has bagged two high-voltage direct current transmission line contracts worth ₹949.35 crore from the Power Grid Corporation of India. The turnkey project in Rajasthan carries a completion timeline of 38 months.

Engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) company Jyoti Structures has announced that it has secured two contracts worth ₹949.35 crore from the state-owned Power Grid Corporation of India.

The newly awarded orders involve work on high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission lines located in Rajasthan. According to the company's statement, the scope of work covers supplying, erecting, testing, and commissioning ±800 kV HVDC transmission lines on a turnkey basis.

The total order value of ₹949.35 crore excludes GST and encompasses two specific packages under the Bipole Barmer-II and South Kalamb transmission lines project. Both packages have been assigned a completion period of 38 months, calculated from the date of the respective notifications of award.

Amit Dutta, Chief Operating Officer of Jyoti Structures, noted the company's focus on contributing to national infrastructure. He stated that the firm's prior sector experience will guide its project delivery approach and expressed anticipation for collaborating with the Power Grid Corporation of India to complete the assignment as planned.

This latest development follows another major contract secured by Jyoti Structures from the Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation Limited (GETCO). That earlier order, valued at ₹689.93 crore, was awarded for the 765 kV DC Pachchham-Saykha Transmission Line project in Gujarat.

Jyoti Structures Limited is a listed EPC enterprise that specializes in the power transmission infrastructure sector.

"Securing high-value turnkey contracts from state-owned entities reflects strong execution capabilities in the power transmission sector. For an EPC company like Jyoti Structures, managing large-scale projects such as the ₹949-crore Rajasthan HVDC transmission order requires meticulous resource allocation and adherence to strict timelines. Maintaining consistent operational delivery across multiple large orders will be critical for long-term growth and sustained financial performance in capital-intensive infrastructure markets." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
