A series of significant corporate developments, government stake sales, and strategic business orders have come to light across various sectors, impacting companies ranging from public sector undertakings to major private enterprises.
The Government of India has announced an Offer for Sale (OFS) to offload up to 6 percent equity in Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL). According to Arunish Chawla, Secretary in the Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM), the divestment comprises a 3 percent base offer with an additional 3 percent green shoe option in case of oversubscription. The floor price has been set at Rs 514, with 10 percent of the offer reserved for retail investors and 25,000 shares set aside for eligible employees. The total transaction is expected to fetch approximately Rs 3,000 crore.
In the technology sector, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has entered into a five-year strategic partnership with Porsche AG to scale AI services across Porsche's mobility value chain. As part of this collaboration, TCS will establish a dedicated AI Mobility Centre of Excellence to drive innovation in manufacturing, engineering, operations, and customer experience. Additionally, TCS's subsidiary plans to acquire 100 percent of MHP Management- und IT-Beratung GmbH, Porsche's Germany-based consulting subsidiary, pending regulatory approvals.
In the banking and financial services segment, IDFC First Bank Ltd successfully priced its benchmark $350 million 5-year Senior Notes following a previous $500 million international bond issuance in August 2026. Meanwhile, Axis Bank Ltd announced its decision to exercise the Call Option to redeem its entire outstanding $600,000,000 Additional Tier 1 Notes on the First Call Date of September 8, 2026, at 100 percent par value along with accrued interest.
Infrastructure and manufacturing firms also reported multiple contract wins and expansions. Ceigall India Limited, in a joint venture with Sushee Infra & Mining Limited, received Letters of Acceptance from the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH) for a ₹704.70 crore project on the Frontier Highway in Arunachal Pradesh. Afcons Infrastructure Limited secured a favourable arbitral award of ₹335.50 crore from an Arbitral Tribunal in its proceedings against UPEIDA. Other notable updates include a ₹92.9 crore Battery Energy Storage System order for Pace Digitek's subsidiary Lineage Power, a ₹525 crore Business Transfer Agreement by Aegis Logistics, and various commercial orders secured by Krystal Integrated Services, Refex Industries, S&S Power Switchgear, Kothari Industrial Corporation, Expo Engineering, and GPT Infraprojects.
Additionally, Ecofinity Atomix Ltd received board approval to raise ₹2.39 crore through preferential equity warrants issued to 17 investors. Coromandel International's subsidiary, Dhaksha Unmanned Systems, inaugurated a new manufacturing facility in Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu, to advance indigenous drone manufacturing capabilities.
