Integrated mental healthcare startup Amaha is closing a ₹100-crore funding round involving equity and debt. The capital will be used to expand its physical clinic network, strengthen clinical teams, and enhance its technology infrastructure.

Integrated mental healthcare firm Amaha announced on Friday that it is set to close a ₹100-crore fundraise. The financing round is backed by existing investors Lightbox Ventures and Fireside Ventures, along with London-based Sandbox International Holdings Ltd.

The funding also saw participation from Nithin Kamath through Rainmatter, as well as the family offices of Shreyas Shibulal, Ashish Bharat Ram, and Adarsh Jalan. Additionally, the round includes ₹10 crore in debt financing from Alteria Capital.

According to the company, the fresh capital will be deployed to expand Amaha's hospital and clinic network in key cities across India. The funds will also be used to strengthen clinical teams and invest in technology and structures required to deliver quality specialist mental healthcare.

Dr. Amit Malik, Psychiatrist, Founder and CEO of Amaha, stated, "Our focus now is on deepening our clinical expertise and further building the infrastructure and systems needed to make evidence-based specialist mental healthcare accessible to more individuals and families across India, while maintaining high quality of treatment."

Founded in 2016, Amaha provides integrated mental healthcare services spanning digital self-care, outpatient, and inpatient treatment. The company currently operates nine centres across Bengaluru, Delhi-NCR, and Mumbai.

"Amaha's ₹100-crore fundraise highlights the growing investor confidence in specialized healthcare sectors within India. By securing a mix of institutional equity and ₹10 crore in debt financing from Alteria Capital, the company is effectively balancing its capital structure to support both physical expansion across major cities and technological infrastructure. As the demand for structured mental healthcare continues to rise, scaling physical clinics alongside digital services will be critical for long-term accessibility and sustainable growth." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
