Major pharmaceutical company Cipla announced on Friday that the United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) has concluded a routine inspection at the manufacturing facility of its wholly-owned subsidiary, InvaGen Pharmaceuticals Inc., with zero Form 483 observations.

According to a regulatory filing by Cipla, the routine current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) inspection was conducted by the United States health regulator at the manufacturing facility located in Hauppauge, Long Island, New York. The inspection took place from October 19 to October 22, 2026.

The USFDA issues a Form 483 to a company's management at the conclusion of an inspection to notify them of any objectionable conditions or potential non-compliance observed regarding manufacturing processes, facilities, or controls. In this case, the filing noted that the inspection concluded with zero Form 483 observations.

"A USFDA inspection concluding with zero Form 483 observations is a significant regulatory validation for any pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. For a major player like Cipla and its subsidiary InvaGen Pharmaceuticals, maintaining compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices without any noted deficiencies ensures smooth operational continuity in international markets. This regulatory clarity strengthens the company's manufacturing reliability and market standing in the United States." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
