Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Uttar Pradesh and Odisha on October 25 to inaugurate an Arvind Limited garment manufacturing facility in Varanasi and the Reserve Bank of India's Data Centre and Cybersecurity Training Institute in Bhubaneswar.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Uttar Pradesh and Odisha on Sunday, October 25, to inaugurate key industrial and financial infrastructure projects. The itinerary includes opening a new garment manufacturing facility in Varanasi, witnessing an Indian Air Force aerial display, and inaugurating a major Reserve Bank of India data and training facility in Bhubaneswar.

At approximately 11 am, the Prime Minister will inaugurate Arvind Limited's new garment manufacturing facility in Varanasi. According to official releases, the facility is designed to strengthen India's textile and apparel manufacturing ecosystem while promoting regional industrial growth. Focusing on modern manufacturing practices, the plant aims to generate employment opportunities, particularly for women, thereby supporting women-led development initiatives. With a global customer base, the facility is expected to help route locally manufactured products from Varanasi into international markets, underscoring Uttar Pradesh's development as an industrial investment destination.

Following the inauguration, the Prime Minister will attend the Air Force Day Aerial Display-2026 at Namo Ghat as the chief guest around 1 pm. Organized to mark the 94th anniversary of the Indian Air Force under the theme 'Wings over Ganges', the display will feature aircraft such as the Tejas, Light Combat Helicopter (LCH) Prachand, SU-30MKI, and Rafale, alongside transport aircraft and assets from the Indian Navy and Indian Army. Premier display teams including the Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team and the Sarang Helicopter Display Team are scheduled to participate.

Later in the day, the Prime Minister will travel to Odisha to inaugurate the Reserve Bank of India's Data Centre and Cybersecurity Training Institute in Bhubaneswar at around 4:45 pm. The newly established infrastructure is intended to reinforce the technological foundations of India's financial system by providing a secure, resilient, and scalable computing ecosystem for the central bank and the broader financial sector.

The installation houses four state-of-the-art data centres designed to host mission-critical payment and settlement systems. Certified to the Uptime Institute Tier IV standard—a global benchmark for data centre infrastructure—the facility ranks among the largest Tier IV-certified data centres globally within the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector. The accompanying Cybersecurity Training Institute will serve as a dedicated platform for capability development, research, and training in enterprise technology, focusing on emerging domains such as quantum computing and artificial intelligence.

"The simultaneous focus on modern textile manufacturing and advanced financial infrastructure highlights the multi-sectoral growth underway in India. Arvind Limited's new facility in Varanasi demonstrates how regional hubs are integrating into global supply chains with a focus on localized employment. Meanwhile, the RBI's Tier IV-certified data centre and cybersecurity training institute in Bhubaneswar mark a crucial step in scaling secure digital foundations for the BFSI sector, ensuring that India's financial architecture remains resilient against emerging technological demands." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
