Suzlon Energy Secures 250 MW Wind Energy Order from Torrent Green Energy

Wind turbine manufacturer Suzlon Energy announced on Tuesday that it has secured a new wind energy order of 250 MW from Torrent Green Energy.

According to the company statement, this is the sixth order from Torrent Green Energy, taking the cumulative partnership between the two companies to over 1.3 GW. The projects are spread across three key states: Gujarat, Karnataka, and Madhya Pradesh.

Under the terms of the agreement, Suzlon will supply 76 flagship S144 wind turbines, with a capacity of 3.3 MW each. The scope of the project also includes the provision of grid integration and long-term Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services, known as AMS services.

Girish Tanti, Vice Chairman of Suzlon Group, commented on the development, stating that the true measure of success is partnerships that endure and grow over time. He noted that Torrent Green Energy has been a valued partner for over a decade, evolving into one of Suzlon's largest customer partnerships.

With this latest contract, Suzlon reported that it has secured over 1.1 GW of new orders in FY27 to date.

Ajay Kapur, Chief Executive Officer of Suzlon Group, attributed this momentum to ongoing customer confidence, which is reflected in the 1.1 GW of new orders secured during the current financial period.
