Shares of Symbiotec Pharmalab Ltd made a muted debut on Tuesday, listing nearly 1 per cent lower on the BSE against the issue price of Rs 988. The stock started trading at Rs 978.20, marking a 0.99 per cent decline from its issue price.
However, the stock recovered its early lost ground during the trading session. Shares of the firm subsequently climbed to trade at Rs 1,074.05, representing an increase of 8.70 per cent.
On the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the stock listed at par with the issue price at Rs 988. Following the initial flat listing, it gained momentum and climbed 9.65 per cent to reach Rs 1,083.40.
With these market movements, the company's total market valuation stood at Rs 6,965.36 crore. The Initial Public Offering (IPO) featured a price band set at Rs 938 to Rs 988 per equity share.
The public offering was a combination of a fresh issue of shares worth up to Rs 150 crore alongside an Offer For Sale (OFS) component amounting to Rs 1,607 crore. According to the company's deployment plan, proceeds generated from the fresh issue will be utilized toward debt payment and general corporate purposes.
Based in Indore, Symbiotec Pharmalab operates as a research and development-driven pharmaceutical and biotechnology company. Its operational capabilities span across three primary platforms, namely organic chemistry, biotechnology, and complex injectables. Additionally, the company holds a position as a global leader in corticosteroid and steroidal hormone active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs).
