HYDERABAD — Startup incubator T-Hub has announced a partnership with Japanese technology firm OKI Electric Industry Co., Ltd. to launch a specialized program aimed at helping Indian deeptech startups access international markets and explore commercial opportunities in Japan.

The collaboration drew more than 150 applications from startups across India, from which eight enterprises have been shortlisted. The selection process was conducted jointly by T-Hub and OKI to identify priority sectors where Indian startups can address specific industrial challenges and generate long-term business value.

The designated focus areas for the program include water infrastructure, logistics, and supply chain management. Under the initiative, the selected startups will apply their core technologies to develop direct or adjacent solutions for these industrial mandates.

Participants in the program will engage directly with OKI’s business and technical teams. Additionally, they will receive mentorship focused on achieving product-market fit tailored to Japanese industrial use cases, alongside exploring potential pathways for pilot projects and co-development initiatives.

Commenting on the partnership, Kavikrut, CEO of T-Hub, stated that the collaboration allows shortlisted startups to work closely with OKI's teams to address real industrial challenges, receive targeted mentorship for Japanese market entry, and explore tangible opportunities for joint development and commercial pilots.

"This partnership between T-Hub and OKI Electric represents a strategic pathway for Indian deeptech startups looking to scale internationally. By focusing on specific industrial sectors like water infrastructure, logistics, and supply chain, the program offers startups targeted mentorship and direct engagement with technical teams. For early-stage companies, securing access to global enterprise use cases and potential pilot projects is critical for validating product-market fit beyond domestic borders." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
