LT Foods Limited has released its financial results for the first half of fiscal year 2027, reporting a consolidated revenue of ₹6,414 crore. This represents a 22 percent increase year-on-year, or an 18 percent rise on a normalised basis.
During the same period, the company recorded an EBITDA of ₹721 crore, marking a 17 percent increase, while profit after tax grew by 9 percent to ₹364 crore. LT Foods stated that it is now net cash positive at ₹247 crore, with working capital days declining by 31 days to 143.
Geographically, North America emerged as a major growth driver, accounting for 50 percent of the company's H1 revenue. The region saw a 21 percent year-on-year growth, supported by the Royal brand, which commands over 60 percent of Basmati rice imports in the United States.
To support its operations and brand visibility, LT Foods launched several marketing and product initiatives. The Daawat Delight campaign, featuring celebrity chef Ranveer Brar, generated over 590 million impressions. In the U.S., the Golden Star brand entered the ready-to-heat segment with microwaveable rice cups, while Daawat Rozana Platinum was introduced in the domestic market. These moves reflect a strategic emphasis on premium and convenience formats.
The company has outlined four key growth priorities: margin expansion via economies of scale and premiumisation; scaling core operations alongside wider distribution and inorganic opportunities; embedding ESG practices; and building capabilities through digital transformation.
Despite the financial performance, shares of LT Foods Limited experienced a downturn on Wednesday. The stock fell 6.27 percent to ₹367.30 by mid-morning, compared to its previous close of ₹391.55. The stock opened at ₹382.10 and reached an intraday low of ₹362.95, with a traded volume of 6.48 lakh shares worth ₹23.92 crore by 11.41 am. The company's total market capitalisation stood at ₹12,754.60 crore with a symbol P/E of 20.71. The stock remains approximately 25 percent down from its 52-week high of ₹490.70 recorded in August, though it stays above its 52-week low of ₹333.15 from January.
"LT Foods' H1 FY27 results highlight the strength of focused geographic expansion and operational efficiency, particularly with North America driving half of their revenue. Improving working capital days and becoming net cash positive demonstrate solid financial discipline. However, the drop in share price indicates that broader market sentiment and valuations often move independently of short-term earnings reports. For growing businesses, balancing strong international brand presence with domestic execution remains critical for long-term value creation." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
