Indian cryptocurrency exchange WazirX has introduced an artificial-intelligence trading assistant named WazirX AI. The new tool integrates market research, portfolio analysis, and trade preparation into a unified conversational interface available on the exchange's app and website.
According to the company, the assistant operates on an 'Ask-Understand-Decide' framework. This model coordinates market data, technical analysis, portfolio tracking, and order management functions across multi-step user requests. The tool is designed to allow users to query live crypto prices, market news, and macroeconomic developments while receiving analysis supported by charts, reviewing portfolios, and approving trades without switching between multiple screens.
'Crypto markets operate 24/7, but traders should not have to spend their day moving between charts, news feeds and trading screens,' said Nischal Shetty, founder of WazirX. 'WazirX AI combines market research, portfolio monitoring and trade preparation into one conversation, reducing the time and effort required to evaluate an opportunity and act on it. The AI streamlines the workflow, and enables a faster and easier decision making process.'
The AI assistant provides live portfolio briefings covering account values, profit and loss, and open positions, alongside daily morning updates. Prior to executing a trade, the assistant reviews the user's live portfolio and applies risk preferences to recommend position sizes. Proposed spot and futures orders are presented via an approval card detailing parameters such as entry price, leverage, margin, stop-loss, take-profit, and estimated loss.
Users can also issue natural-language monitoring instructions, such as setting alerts for when Bitcoin breaks a specific support level. For advanced analysis, users can screen Indian Rupee futures for momentum, filter opportunities by risk-reward thresholds, validate shortlists across timeframes, and prepare trade orders. WazirX states this workflow can reduce processes that traditionally take hours of research to under 10 minutes.
Alongside the AI tool, WazirX has launched a paper-trading sandbox featuring a simulated USD 100,000 balance. The sandbox allows users to test strategies and experience the research-to-trade workflow using live price data before deploying real capital.
WazirX supports spot and futures trading, market and limit orders, short positions, and pair-specific maximum leverage. Founded in 2018, the exchange offers INR-based access to cryptocurrencies and is registered as a Reporting Entity with India's Financial Intelligence Unit, adhering to standard know-your-customer and anti-money-laundering processes.
"Integrating artificial intelligence into trading workflows represents a practical approach to reducing operational friction for active retail participants. By consolidating research, portfolio monitoring, and execution into a single conversational interface, platforms can significantly cut down the time required for data evaluation. Furthermore, pairing these efficiency tools with a risk-free paper-trading sandbox allows users to test strategies safely before committing actual capital, which is a constructive step toward building a more informed user base." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
