Yara India has launched YaraAmplix Optimaris, its first proprietary biostimulant under the global YaraAmplix brand. The product utilizes natural ingredients like seaweed extracts to enhance crop resilience and will roll out commercially starting November 2026.

NEW DELHI — Yara India, a provider of environmental solutions and fertilizer products, has announced the launch of YaraAmplix Optimaris, marking the introduction of its first proprietary biostimulant under the global YaraAmplix brand in the Indian market.

According to the company's media statement, the YaraAmplix brand is built on more than 50 years of formulation knowledge and over a decade of research and development in biostimulants. The product line is designed to improve crop resilience, support nutrient uptake, enhance overall crop quality, promote healthier soils, and improve plant adaptability to environmental stress.

The newly launched product, YaraAmplix Optimaris, is a liquid foliar formulation created using bioactive components extracted from the alga Ascophyllum nodosum. The formulation incorporates natural ingredients such as seaweed and plant extracts that are sourced and tested to target plant growth, encourage better fruit sizing, and mitigate the impact of abiotic stress by priming plants in advance.

Addressing the market rollout timeline, the company stated that YaraAmplix Optimaris will first become available in Maharashtra in November 2026. A broader commercial rollout is scheduled for the first quarter of 2027 across several regions, including Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jammu and Kashmir, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka.

Sanjiv Kanwar, Managing Director of Yara South Asia, noted the operational challenges faced by the agricultural sector. In the company statement, he stated that Indian horticulture growers face increasing climate variability while working to maintain consistent yield and quality. Kanwar added that the new offering is designed to support sustainable food production and provide a scientifically validated solution for crop nutrition.

Yara India plans to introduce YaraAmplix Optimaris initially through its channel partners, noting their close proximity to the farming community.

"The introduction of YaraAmplix Optimaris highlights the growing importance of research-backed agricultural inputs as farmers face mounting climate challenges. For businesses in the agribusiness and crop nutrition sectors, long-term investments in research and development are critical to meeting the demand for sustainable solutions. A phased geographic rollout strategy also allows companies to manage supply chains effectively and establish strong channel partnerships before scaling nationally." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
