Shares of Emcure Pharmaceuticals surged by 10 per cent to hit the upper circuit on Wednesday after the company announced its financial results for the September quarter.
For the quarter, Emcure reported a 29.31 per cent increase in consolidated net profit, bringing the total to ₹325.06 crore. The company stated that the earnings growth was largely supported by a strong performance within its international business segment.
Following the quarterly earnings report, several major brokerages maintained their 'buy' ratings on the stock while revising their growth estimates and noting expansion opportunities across both domestic and international markets.
Jefferies maintained a 'buy' rating on the stock and raised its target price to ₹2,500 from ₹2,320. The brokerage also increased its FY27 revenue growth guidance for the company to over 20 per cent, up from its previous mid-teens projection, and noted expectations for a 100 basis points improvement in margins.
According to Jefferies, key supports for international business growth include the expansion of Amphotericin B across 20 European countries and the upcoming launch of Treprostinil. Additionally, the brokerage highlighted domestic recovery and new product approvals as factors strengthening the outlook, raising its FY27–29 earnings per share (EPS) estimates by 3 to 4 per cent.
Kotak also maintained a 'buy' rating on Emcure Pharma with a target price of ₹2,450. The brokerage raised its FY27 sales growth guidance to over 20 per cent from mid-teens and anticipates that the company will achieve the upper end of its 75 to 100 basis points margin expansion guidance.
Kotak pointed to a recovery in Zuventus, new product launches, and deeper molecule penetration as catalysts for accelerating domestic growth. Furthermore, the brokerage identified the international business as a primary growth engine, projecting a 19 per cent EPS compound annual growth rate (CAGR) over the FY26–29 period.
"Emcure Pharmaceuticals' strong second-quarter performance demonstrates the tangible impact of balancing solid domestic recovery with strategic international expansion. When pharmaceutical companies successfully diversify their market reach—such as expanding product footprints across Europe—it creates resilient revenue streams that attract strong institutional confidence. For growing businesses, aligning operational execution with targeted global product launches is a proven pathway to scaling profitability and maintaining long-term market value." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
