The Hindu Businessline has transitioned its reader engagement section to a new commenting platform powered by Vuukle. Existing registered users can continue logging in, while new users must register to participate under updated community guidelines.

NEW DELHI — The Hindu Businessline has announced a transition to a new commenting platform, updating the infrastructure used for reader engagement across its digital articles.

Under the updated system, registered users who are already logged in to the publication's platform can continue to participate and engage with articles without disruption. Readers who do not currently have an account are required to register and log in before posting comments.

Additionally, the publication has clarified that users wishing to access their older historical comments can do so by logging directly into their accounts on Vuukle, the technology provider handling the new commenting system.

The publication continues to enforce standard community guidelines for user participation. According to the stated rules, all comments must be written in English, must use full sentences, and are strictly prohibited from containing abusive or personal remarks.

"Migrating core digital infrastructure like a commenting platform is a standard operational update for digital media organizations aiming to streamline user management and compliance. For publishers, maintaining clear community guidelines while updating third-party integrations ensures a balanced environment for reader engagement and content moderation." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
