Registrar and transfer agent Computer Age Management Services (CAMS) announced its financial results for the quarter ended September 30, 2026 (Q2 FY27), reporting a net profit of ₹131.5 crore. This represents a 14.4 percent growth compared to the same period in the previous year.
During the quarter, the company's total revenue reached ₹414.5 crore, marking a 10 percent year-on-year increase. CAMS attributed its EBITDA margin expansion of 140 basis points year-on-year to 46 percent primarily to operating leverage and disciplined cost management.
Anuj Kumar, Managing Director of CAMS, stated that the performance highlights the strength of the company's platform-led business model and diversification strategy. Kumar noted that the firm achieved healthy profit growth and expanded its EBITDA margins despite operating in a volatile environment.
In its core operations, CAMS mutual fund Assets Under Management (AUM) grew by 12.1 percent year-on-year, reaching a record ₹58.4 lakh crore in Q2 FY27. The company maintained its industry leadership position with a 67 percent market share.
Growth was also observed outside the traditional mutual fund segment. CAMS reported that its non-mutual fund business momentum accelerated with a 21.7 percent year-on-year growth. Additionally, CAMSPay crossed the 6 percent revenue contribution milestone for the first time, recording a 52 percent year-on-year increase in operating revenue alongside 21 new deals signed during the quarter.
The company also highlighted the adoption of its newer offerings. ConsenPro, a Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) implementation platform introduced by CAMS, is currently under implementation with 20 clients in the banking, financial services, and insurance (BFSI) sector.
Furthermore, Kumar pointed to the deployment of technology infrastructure including FundsNet, a modernized mutual fund transaction-acceptance platform, alongside CAMSlens and KYCHUB. The company is also scaling up its AI-led transaction processing and enterprise-wide data modernization efforts to build its operating platform.
"The financial performance of CAMS for the second quarter demonstrates the resilience of a platform-driven business model operating at scale. Achieving double-digit revenue growth alongside a 1460 basis point EBITDA margin highlights the effectiveness of disciplined cost management and operational leverage. More importantly, the acceleration in the non-mutual fund segment and the adoption of compliance platforms like ConsenPro indicate that traditional infrastructure providers are successfully diversifying their revenue streams to meet evolving regulatory and digital demands in the financial sector." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
