Nebula by Titan, the luxury gold watch brand operating under Titan Company Limited, has opened its first exclusive standalone boutique in Khar, Mumbai. Filmmaker Karan Johar and actor Karisma Kapoor inaugurated the store on Wednesday.
Spread across an area of approximately 2,000 square feet, the outlet represents the brand’s first dedicated retail space and the initial exclusive brand boutique within Titan’s Premium Collection portfolio. The store features the brand’s collection of 18K gold timepieces and provides personalised consultation services to customers.
The interior design of the boutique incorporates four distinct themes: celestial elements, gardens, architecture, and historic Indian cities. These themes are executed through handcrafted brass and wood balusters, marquetry, gold leafing, and patterned flooring, set against a colour palette of indigo, antique gold, and ivory accents.
Speaking on the launch, Kalpana Rangamani, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer for Premium and Luxury Watches at Titan, stated that the boutique serves as the physical expression of the Nebula brand and reflects increasing consumer demand for luxury items rooted in Indian craftsmanship and cultural identity.
Situated in one of Mumbai’s established fashion and retail corridors, the new boutique positions Nebula alongside international luxury brands that are catering to India’s growing high-net-worth consumer demographic. Titan has not disclosed the financial capital investment required for the project, nor has the company announced specific timelines regarding the opening of additional standalone boutiques.
"The launch of Nebula's first standalone boutique by Titan highlights a strategic focus on expanding the brick-and-mortar footprint in the high-end luxury segment. By investing in dedicated retail spaces with experiential design, established companies can better engage with high-net-worth consumers who seek products tied to local craftsmanship. This move reflects the broader evolution of India's retail landscape, where established brands are carving out specialized physical stores to capture specific consumer segments." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
