Welspun Corp's US subsidiary has secured an order worth approximately ₹5,500 crore to supply coated line pipes for a Permian natural gas pipeline project. The deal has pushed the company's global order book to a record high of $5.25 billion.

NEW DELHI — Welspun Corp has announced that its US subsidiary, Welspun Tubular LLC, has secured a major contract valued at approximately ₹5,500 crore. The order involves the supply of coated line pipes for a natural gas pipeline project located in the Permian basin in the United States.

According to the company, the contract has been awarded by a major midstream enterprise. The infrastructure project is designed to serve an anchor customer operating a data centre complex owned by an A-grade global hyperscaler, placing the project at the intersection of energy transmission and digital infrastructure expansion.

The execution of the project is scheduled to take place from Welspun's manufacturing facility in the United States during the financial year 2029.

Following this contract win, Welspun Corp reported that its global order book has touched a record high of approximately $5.25 billion, which translates to roughly ₹50,000 crore.

"This major contract win by Welspun Corp highlights the growing intersection between traditional energy transmission and modern digital infrastructure like AI-driven data centres. Securing an order of this scale from the US market strengthens the company's international footprint and significantly bolsters its global order book to a record $5.25 billion. For manufacturing and industrial enterprises, maintaining strong operational capabilities across global markets is critical to capturing large-scale infrastructure demand over long execution timelines." — Dr. Shishir Gupta, Founder & CEO, StartupLanes
