The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted search operations at 13 locations across Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, and Chandigarh on Friday. The searches are part of an ongoing money laundering investigation involving fraudulent Non-Resident Indian (NRI) housing loans allegedly secured through forged documents.
According to officials, the operation commenced early in the morning in close coordination with police and security forces under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). The searches covered premises linked to suspects associated with the case, specifically identifying the entities Antriksh Promoters and Developers Pvt Ltd and Sunshine Infrawell Pvt Ltd.
People familiar with the development stated that the primary objective of the operation is to gather evidence concerning suspected financial irregularities and trace funds connected to the alleged offense. The federal agency is currently investigating the specific roles played by the involved entities in the money laundering activity, alongside determining the total financial magnitude of the suspected fraud.
During operations of this nature, the ED is authorized to provisionally seize documents, digital evidence, and other materials believed to constitute proceeds of crime, subject to statutory legal provisions. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities analyze the gathered materials.
